Our Play House Came Back!

It was a sad day back in San Diego last May when the girls watched as their beloved Little Tikes log cabin play house was taken apart and carried off.  "Why are they taking my play house?" Asked a bewildered 3 year old Natalie.  Almost a year later in Nashville, the girls were ecstatic this morning to discover their Dada building their play house back up on the patio.  "My play house is back!" Natalie exclaimed joyfully.  The girls danced around in excitement as their Dada carefully put the play house, we had found on craigslist recently, back together.  Last May we had sold the play house since we reasoned that it would be costly to move and we weren't sure if we would have room for it once we got here.  Once the play house was back together, both girls reacquainted themselves with the swinging door and shutters.  I am sure this is the first of many additional memories of playing house in the backyard.. and it is right in time for Spring!

The Return of the Warm Sunny Day

Sixty-nine degrees today and sunny!  We were overjoyed today to get outside.  It was back to Lake Radnor for us. A little bit of sunshine certainly helps spur optimism about the world.  The girls ran down the trails with wild grins on their faces and spent minutes at a time basking in the sun on the many benches alongside the trail.  The turtles were all out sunning themselves as well.  We are very hopeful that the warm weather will soon come and stay with us for quite some time.
